Overall guidlines

  • Multilingual submissions are accepted, but must be submitted with a translation.

  • Simultaneous submissions and submissions of previously published work are accepted, however they should be disclosed upon submission.

  • The Raven’s Muse DOES NOT accept works that promote bigotry. This includes, but isn’t limited to racism, sexism, homophobia, and ableism.

  • Extremely violent, profane, or sexual content will not be accepted.

  • The Raven’s Muse only accepts original works. We do not accept plagiarized work or work based upon creations that are not in the public domain.

  • Feedback will be given when requested. Please send requests to our email, ravensmusemagazine@gmail.com

Genre Requirments

The Raven’s Muse accepts forms of art ranging through fiction, creative non-fiction, essays, poetry, and visual art! Submissions created with generative AI is NOT allowed and will lead to a permanent blacklist from The Raven’s Muse.

  • When submitting pieces ranging across categories, please submit the form once per each category.

  • We do not accept email submissions. Please submit through our provided google form.

  • Prose: 1-3 pieces, maximum 2000 words per piece

  • Poetry: 1-3 pieces, maximum 1000 words per piece

  • Art and Photography: 1-5 pieces

  • Submissions should be uploaded as a PDF, Google Doc, or doc.x.

  • Each piece should be its own file. File titles should be formatted as “PIECE TITLE - Author”

If chosen, The Raven’s Muse will hold first serial electronic publication and archival rights. If the works have been previously published, The Raven’s Muse asks for second electronic publication rights and archival rights. All rights revert to the artist after publication.

We do not accept submissions from artists under the age of 13 at this time.
